Registered Dietitian II - Bariatric

Our team members focus on tomorrow by achieving personal and professional success today. ***** SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE ***** The **Registered Dietitian II - Bariatric** is responsible for: + Responsible for providing optimal medical nutrition therapy to patients preparing for or post bariatric surgery through one-on-one sessions and group classes. + Facilitates and coordinates bariatric patient support groups and serves as a social media moderator for the BayCare Bariatric Facebook Group. + Assists center in maintaining compliance with national and insurance specific bariatric quality designations. + Performs bariatric in-services to team members and physicians. + Represents bariatric program in media requests and community outreach efforts. + Assist in securing patient testimonials. + Ability to build positive relationships with patients and bariatric multi-disciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, surgeons, admin staff, and facility bariatric patient care areas. + Position may require travel to other sites as needed. + Participates in patient education/clinical projects and MBS Committee meetings. + Other duties as assigned. **Certifications and Licensures** + Required - RD (Registered Dietitian) + CSOWM (Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management) - If not certified, eligible for Registered Dietitian I - Bariatric + National Registration and State licensure within 6 months of employment **Education** + Required - Bachelor's in Related Filed + **Preferred - Master's** **Experience** + **Preferred - 2 Years Bariatric related** **Specific Skills** + Ability to work independently with minimum supervision + Written verbal communication skills + Computer skills appropriate to the position **Why BayCare?** Our network consists of 16 community-based hospitals, a long-term acute care facility, home health services, outpatient centers and thousands of physicians.
