Pediatric Specialty Care in Philadelphia is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Dietitian for a Part-Time opening!

 

The Registered Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy via comprehensive/routine nutrition assessments, performs Nutrition Focused Physical Exams utilizing the Nutrition Care process to meet standards set forth by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. This individual follows state regulations, safety guidelines and protocols to promote the overall health and wellness of our residents through appropriate nutrition interventions meal plans and clinical guidelines Services departments.

Seeking to fill a 9:00am-5:00pm schedule, can be flexible with shift times

Essential Job Functions Registered Dietitian:

Nutrition assessments for the Pediatric population (up to age 21) in a Pediatric care setting in accordance with company policies and standards of care.Develops, implements, monitors, and appropriately documents individualized nutrition care plans based on current best practices.Provides nutrition counseling/education for residents and their family members.Maintains resident nutrition information in the computer system.Conducts routine audits and monitors performance improvement initiatives related to nutrition and food service.Attends, and actively participates in, resident care plan meetings, IDT meetings, staff meetings, required in-service programs, and other meetings/programs deemed appropriate by the Administrator or Regional Dietitian.Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding nutritional services in the Pediatric setting.Serves as a nutrition consultant for the Administrator, Dining Service Aide, and multidisciplinary medical team.Acts as a preceptor for Dietetic students and interns and as a supervisor/mentor to the Dining Service Aide.Conducts in-service programs for dietary and facility staff upon request.Assists the Director of Dining Services and/or Supervisor of Dining Services with departmental oversight on an as-needed basis.Utilizes electronic timekeeping system as directed.Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times.Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.Supports and abides by Pediatric Specialty Cares Mission, Vision, and Values.Abides by Pediatric Specialty Cares businesses code of conduct, compliance and HIPAA policies.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff or Administrator. Qualifications

Registered Dietitian - Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/DieteticsSuccessful completion of an internship or equivalent clinical and management practice which would qualify for Professional Registration with the Commission on Dietetic RegistrationActive and on-going registration with the Commission on Dietetic RegistrationCurrent, valid driver license for occasional travelActive membership in The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferredCertified Dietitian – Nutritionist (CDN) with state Department of Education or Licensure in the state of employmentPediatric experience preferredServ Safe certification or ability to achieve within 6 months of employmentDemonstrated computer skills and knowledge in nutritional software programs preferred
