Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Registered Echo Sonographer

 

Work location:   8440 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours:  Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Travel:  25% between surrounding clinics based on department needs (mileage reimbursement provided)

Here’s What You Need

Education

Associate's Degree Ultrasound Technology Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Technology program (Required) or

·       Completion of the requirements to be certified by RDMS (Required))

 

​​​​​​Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) Associate Degree Related field (preferred)

 

Certifications

RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS Upon Hire (required) or RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required)

 

​​​ Skills

Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases Excellent communication skills Good computer skills Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

 

 

What You Will Do

Responsible for performing echocardiograms at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This role is required to perform a variety of technical procedures that relate to cardiac ultrasounds that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative for diagnosis by a health care provider.

 

Deliver care to patients utilizing the Registered Echo Sonographer Process Produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart. Calibrate and maintain equipment and order supplies when needed. Calculate, measure, and document appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians. Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. May perform therapeutic procedures. Enter patient information into computer database to record information on video cassette and strip printout of test. Review test results with interpreting physician. Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. Perform other duties as assigned.
