Registered Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Overview:

This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments. Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties. This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures, and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.

Job Requirements:

Associate's Degree 
Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)
American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
Must be a graduate of an approved MLT program and be certified by ASCP or equivalent or registry eligible 
Certification must be obtained within one year of hire
MLT Clinical Training
Up to 1 year experience clinical experience as required by MLT program at a hospital
