ENERAL OVERVIEW:

Our caregivers in the Cardiac Catheterization labs provide a wide range of invasive cardiology services from diagnostic to complex interventional procedures. 

Nurses in this specialized area, have the opportunity to actively collaborate with the physician care team in a dynamic and high tech patient setting. 

These positions require a breadth of knowledge and flexibility to meet the needs of our patients and remain innovative in our medical approach regarding equipment and techniques to ensure we maintain our position at the forefront of providing state of the art cardiac patient care.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts pre-procedural assessment.Participates in the care of patients undergoing Cath Lab procedures.Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards and requirements.Maintains a safe environment for patients during their Cath Lab and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

Current licensure as an RNCurrent BLS/ACLSOne year (1) recent ICU or Emergency RN experienceMust be able to take call and be within 30 minutes of the Allegheny GeneralPrefers: Previous Cardiac or Cath Lab experience
