Shift: Full Time Night Shift - 7pm to 7am

Cardiac Procedural/Surgical IMCU Overview:

This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU, 4East provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. 

The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.

Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.

As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Education/License/Certifications: 

Diploma RN, associate degree RN, bachelor’s degree RN, or master’s degree RN.  

All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire and ACLS within 1 year 

RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
