Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in an autonomous manner by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice. This includes incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PHNS policy. 

Work Schedule:

On-Call Monday-Friday:  St. Louis Park 7:00am-3:00pm Option to cover in Burnsville and Maple Grove: Daytime hours, start time varies 

Required Qualifications:

Graduate from course of study in nursing resulting in a minimum of an associate degree/diploma in nursing.  One or more years’ experience infusion nursing  Role may require completion of the ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy course or equivalent 2-day course.    Must maintain a current state registered nurse license. BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. Strong clinical and human relations skills.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PHNS.  Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.  Safely and effectively operates the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon area of specialty), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, and Telephone.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred certification in oncology nursing. Keyboarding skills preferred
