Summary

Practices professional nursing at an excellent level within the Goshen nursing model of care keeping a primary focus on the patient/family using the nursing process, culturally appropriate interventions, and holistic principles with attention to continuity of care and patient advocacy, while maintaining a safe environment. Is a leader in professional nursing both in direct care and in colleague relationships using ethical principles, collaboration, peer review, evidence based practice, and teaching & learning principles. 

Responsible for direct patient care, assisting physician and nurse practitioners with office visits, telephone triage, chemotherapy administration, minor office procedures and assisting with radiation therapies. 

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: Registered nurse with a valid Indiana State RN license. May 1, 2016, Colleagues hired with an Associate’s Degree must enter into a BSN program within 12 months of hire and earn their BSN from a NLN or CCNE accredited program within 5 years of beginning their BSN degree.  Preferred Education: Basic Dysrhythmia Course. Minimum Experience: One year Med/Surg experience. Preferred Experience: One to two years’ experience in outpatient clinic or physician office. Certifications Required: Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Chemo/biotherapy administration required within 1 yr of hire. Certifications Preferred: OCN and/or CRNI certifications preferred.  Will be able to sit for the OCN exam within the maximum of 2 years of employment Oncology Nursing Certification, ACLS
