Registered Nurse, Private Duty
Overview ***Mon- Fri 7:30- 5pm or 6pm *** **School setting, RN/LPN needed in the Warwick area** Competitive pay rates The Registered Nurse, Private Duty is a necessary position to ensure that our clients receive complete, safe, and appropriate services in their home. Responsibilities This position is responsible for the overall health and safety of the client The Registered Nurse, Private Duty is responsible for compliance with the rules and regulations related to his/her duties, the license, contract, and programmatic rules. The Registered Nurse, Private Duty may complete Initial and Ongoing Assessment visits as required by applicable regulations. Performs comprehensive health and psychosocial evaluation, monitoring of the client’s condition, health promotion and prevention, coordination of services, teaching and training activities. Determine safety of environment that service is to be provided. Be an advocate for clients needing other community services. Prepares clinical and progress notes. Coordinates services with family, physicians, hospitals, specialty organizations and other disciplines providing information and instruction to facilitate care. Initiate plan of care and revise as necessary. Educates the client and/or family regarding disease process, self-care techniques and prevention procedures. Perform initial assessments, Initiate plan of and review plan of care as required by regulation (making and requesting changes according to client needs). Initiates and maintains appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Prepares clinical and progress notes. Evaluates the effectiveness and outcome of care. Supervises LPNs and paraprofessionals providing services to the client. Plans for client’s discharge when appropriate. Participates in in-service programs. Investigate and document incidents and complaints as reported. Be on site during any state survey/audit as requested, also be present for exit interview. Serve as back-up for other nurses. Provide competency evaluations for new/current employees Assist the Branch Manager, serve as back-up, as necessary. On-Call, as appropriate In conjunction with the Branch Manager, review complaints, concerns, and incidents and develop an internal Plan of Correction to prevent future incidents. Participates in scheduled meetings. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Have an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Rhode Island. Experience in Home and Community Based Services, preferred. Pediatric Experience Have significant clinical skills and experience Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Professional demeanor and appearance. Proficient skills to promote excellent client relations and customer service. Excellent organizational and time management skills Have reliable transportation
