The Saints campus Emergency Department provides care for Behavioral Health patients in its 24-bed Emergency Department and in the 16-bed secure holding Behavioral Health area.  This is a terrific opportunity for Behavioral Health Registered Nurses to expand their critical care skill set and for Emergency Department nurses to join a close-knit team that has experience working with critical care and behavioral health patients.  Our Saints ED uses a multidisciplinary team of staff including Registered Nurses, ED Techs, Mental Health Techs, Board Certified Emergency Department Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners including Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Respiratory Therapy, Phlebotomy, Radiology and CT Techs, and Public Safety staff. This position will provide care for Behavioral Health patients, as well as general ED patients.

60,000 visits annually

50 licensed beds, with 5 different care areas

Pediatric ED

Staffed with board-certified Emergency Medicine Pediatricians- Behavioral Health section of ED

Verified American College of Surgeons Level 3 Trauma Center

Certified Stroke Center

Primary Angioplasty program

DPH SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program

Our Emergency Department Float Nurses float between the two locations to

provide the best care possible for our patients!

Float Requirements:

ASN required- BSN preferred

BLS

Require minimum experience of 18 months as an RN

Preferred minimum experience of 2 or more years as an RN in the position’s specialty

Float RNs are required to float across multiple specified units within their assigned specialty. This may include floating to multiple units within a single shift.
