The Thoracic/Surgical Intermediate Care Unit is comprised of a 10 bed unit (Thoracic IMC) on Gudelsky 9 East and an 8 bed unit (Surgical IMC) o/n W5C.
TIMC is a fully integrated unit dedicated to the care of the general thoracic surgical patients. The population includes patients having undergone surgery for:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at UMMC, you’ll experience:
Education & Experience
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.Current CPR certification required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs.
