If you aspire to become an RN Intern in the Intensive Care Unit, we have two (2) NIGHT shift openings available for our Spring Internship Program beginning April 14, 2025. Strong preference will be given to Cedars-Sinai employees.The Internship Program is 12 weeks and involves classroom and hands-on training with a preceptor during the Day, Mid, and Night shifts. Once completed, the RN will be able to function independently on theNight shift in the ICU.
Unit Details:
Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 12-bed Medical and Respiratory ICU that cares for adult patients with moderate to complex acuity. Diagnoses include sepsis, GI bleed, post code blue, and respiratory issues. Additional training will be provided so the RN can perform CRRT. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 based on patient acuity. Each room has a HEPA filter, PAPRS readily available and RNs receive a new N95 mask per day.

Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible and accountable for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. You will also:
Provides direct and indirect patient care services, including the administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the hospital systemDisplays knowledge and is able to identify and make special adjustments to the specific populations needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family and condition needs.Respond quickly, and with accuracy to changes in condition or response to treatment.Benefits:
