Registered Nurse/ 11p-7a Supervisor

Pike Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Registered Nurse Supervisor for night shift 11p - 7a.

As a Nursing Supervisor in our healthcare center, you will be at the forefront of helping us achieve our mission of delivering Care Beyond Compare each and every day through the exceptional hands-on approach and care you provide alongside your team. You will be tasked with supervising the day-to-day nursing activities during your shift in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will:

Hold a current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware.

Maintain current CPR certification.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or healthcare related facility

Be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws regulations and guidelines governing long-term care facilities

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.

Be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.

Be able to work and make decisions independently with limited supervision. 

Be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

Have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.

Have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.

Be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

Be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.

Education and Experience:

Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university required.

At least one (1) year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.

Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
