Job Title: Registered NurseJob Description Check daily schedule for patient volume, prepare for patient procedures, organize medications for doctors to administer, update EMR, update prescription refills, and review patient cases and questions. This position consists of 80% administrative work and 20% hands-on work with patients. Responsibilities include employing appropriate and timely use of Tasking in EHR, maintaining efficient patient flow, functioning as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians, assuring all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and/or documenting care, ensuring proper preparation for patient visits, providing referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR, checking and maintaining logs for emergency equipment according to policy, collecting lab specimens according to departmental guidelines and accurately labeling specimens, obtaining vital signs and documenting appropriately in EHR, demonstrating telephone triage protocols and documenting in EHR, scheduling appointments appropriately and accurately according to department guidelines, reviewing and updating medication lists in EHR, demonstrating understanding of prescription control and refill procedures, and accurately and completely documenting known allergies in EHR. The nurse will also appropriately enter orders and schedule appointments in the Practice Management System (PMS) and EHR. Hard Skills + Associates degree required - BS preferred + NJ State Nursing License + Active BLS certification + 2-4 years experience preferred but not required Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 20 Week(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in New Providence, New Jersey. Work Environment Length of assignment: 20 weeks starting on 8/20/24. Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am-5pm, can vary by 30 minutes or so. May be asked to cover weekends. Doctors work 6 weekends a year, so covering on weekends is not likely to happen often while on contract. Will report to the clinical manager. The New Providence office has 3 providers for 4 days a week and 2 providers on 1 day of the week. Each doctor sees about 25 patients per day, and the nurse can expect to handle 35-40 patients per day. There is only 1 other RN in the office who acts as a supervisor for the site, so this hire will support triage and more MA-like duties when the RN supervisor handles administrative functions. One of the days in New Providence, the doctor has an admin day, so there will be less patient volume that day. Physical requirements: - Pushing and pulling, taking frequency and weight into consideration. - Physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items, taking frequency and weight into consideration. - Physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job, taking distance and speed into account. - Physical agility, which includes the ability to maneuver body while in place. - Dexterity of hands and fingers. - Balance is maintained during climbing, bending, and/or reaching. - Endurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, walking).
