Job Title: Registered NurseJob Description Check daily schedule for patient volume and prepare for patient procedures. Organize medications like cortisone for doctors to administer and prepare gel injections for providers to inject. Update EMR and prescription refills, review patient cases and questions. Employ appropriate and timely use of Tasking in EHR. Maintain efficient patient flow. Function as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians. Assure all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and/or documenting care. Ensure proper preparation for patient visit. Prepare pertinent information needed for patient visit. Provide referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR. Check and maintain logs for emergency equipment according to policy. Collect lab specimens according to departmental guidelines and accurately label specimens. Obtain vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, height & weight accurately and completely as required, documenting appropriately in EHR. Demonstrate telephone triage protocols and document in EHR. Schedule appointments appropriately and accurately according to department guidelines. Review and update medication list in EHR. Demonstrate understanding of prescription control and prescription refill procedures. Accurately and completely document known allergies in EHR. Appropriately enter orders and schedule appointments in the Practice Management System (PMS) and EHR. Hard Skills + Associates degree required - BS preferred + NJ State Nursing License + Active BLS certification + 2-4 years experience preferred but not required + Can be LPN or RN Soft Skills + Good bedside manner + Time management skills + Experience with high patient volume Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Work Environment 1 Diamond Hill Road in Berkeley Heights & in Westfield. 80% administrative, 20% clinical work. Often involves triage, bucket updates, updating EMR, checking in patients, and quick revisit clinical work. Length of assignment: contract to permanent after 6 months. Hours: Mon-Thurs 7-4pm + Fri 7-1pm. Locations: Mon = BH, Tues = WF, Wed = WF, Thurs = BH, Fri = BH – can change as needed. Will report to the clinical manager and the clinical supervisor. Physical requirements include pushing and pulling, lifting heavy objects, physical mobility and agility, dexterity of hands and fingers, balance, and endurance.
