ABOUT THE ROLE: The Registered Nurse will ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at program site. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedure within assigned sites and in accordance with Arc and OPWDD regulations ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: + The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below, and essential functions may change from time to time. • Promote and adhere to all elements of the Agency's CQL outcomes and Core Values and demonstrate knowledge and commitment to the Arc's Mission. • Ensure protection from abuse, neglect, mistreatment, and exploitation regarding the health, safety, comfort, and well-being of the people we support by adhering to all related policies. • Provide management of accidents and illnesses, making necessary referrals or recommendations to appropriate staff or others. • Provide professional/ clinical nursing oversight of the LPNs and AMAP staff assigned to sites under your supervision. Provide directives on medical oversight to any Direct Support Professional. • Provide required nursing services; including direct care as needed, as well as lifting assistance. • Completing nursing assessment upon admission and as necessary thereafter, Nursing Summary and nurse's notes as needed. Schedule/Hours + Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM No evenings, weekends, or holidays!! EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. Qualifications would be equivalent to: + New York State Licensure as a registered professional nurse. + Specialized training or one year experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. + Must be able to transfer and position people we support and manipulate equipment such as wheelchairs PAY & PERKS: The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $35.000/hr.
