Job Description:

RN for Cardiac Rehab and Cardiology departments
Five - 8-hour shifts per week
0645-1515 Mon - Fri
RN will assist in coverage in Stress lab department and rotation of call on weekends.
Call is weekends and holidays 0700-1500
 

The RN prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Creates a positive customer service environment.

Job Duties:

Assessment and identification of patient needsImplementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.

Requirements:

Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.BLS / ACLS required

Preferred Requirements:

Background in rhythm interpretation and Cardiology preferredOne-year critical care or three years telemetry experience preferred
