Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The Physician Office Registered Nurse will assist the nursing staff with phone calls by obtaining history and patient symptoms. The nurse will determine if the patient needs to be brought into the office or assist the patient over the phone. The triage nurse must be able to complete all documentation in the patient chart, to be reviewed by the physician. The Physician Office RN/LPN performs other duties necessary in providing high quality patient care; serves as integral part of the overall clinical team for the physician office; possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those relating to nursing.
