Registered Nurse - CVU (Sign on Bonus!)
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** 12 Hour Night Shift **Description:** Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join the team on our CVU floor with the possibility to cross-train in the ICU! We are offering a $5,000 sign on bonus for eligible candidates that meet our minimum requirements! Shift Full-time night shift (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) / Every other weekend & rotating holiday's Serving the Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Cardiovascular unit (CVU) at Saint Francis Hospital is a 30-bed unit. We care for a wide variety of patients including cardiac diagnoses requiring vasoactive drips, respiratory compromise, DKA, vascular, sepsis, overdoses, and more. Continuing education is provided on relevant topics, as well as Education Forums with our intensivist. Our management team values and promotes work life balance, professional growth and comradery. Inquire about joining our respectful, collaborative team and return to a home where you can practice the heart and soul of nursing. **Responsibilities include:** + Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. + Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours. + Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation. + Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified. + Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment. + Discusses with and includes patient and/or family, significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same. + Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care. + Instructs and documents patient in follow-up care/ activities in preparation for transfer/discharge. + Evaluates the patient's/significant other's understanding of instructions. **Qualified candidates will possess the following:** + Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing highly preferred + Active RN Licensure in State of Delaware + BLS Certification required + At least two years' of step down or PCU experience required + Must obtain ACLS Certification within 3 months of hire **We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including:** + Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage (Effective First day of Hire) + Retirement Savings Program + Paid Time Off + Tuition Reimbursement + Free Parking + And more! **Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion** Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
