Overview New Graduate Emergency Department Residency Program Application Deadline: March 15th, 2025 This 1-year program is an exciting opportunity meant for May 2025 BSN graduates looking to launch their career in a fast-paced, stimulating emergency department. The program will include several modes of learning meant to prepare you to work in our Level I ACS Trauma Center for Adults and Level II Pediatrics Center. The program includes: 52-week, 12.5-hour shift. The curriculum consists of classroom didactics, skill labs, simulation labs, a two-week online critical care course, and clinical hours with the Clinical Nursing Educators and preceptors. After the first 16 weeks of the program, the nursing residents are transitioned to a full-time clinical setting with their preceptors, which includes a rotation in the pediatric ED, and a two-week critical care rotation with the Emergency Department critical care nurse. Requirements for Prospective Candidates: May 2025 Graduates from accredited BSN programs. Preferred overall GPA 3.3; Nursing GPA 3.5. You will be asked to provide a copy of your college transcript. Application submission must include a Resume and Cover Letter (350 word essay stating why you should be chosen for the ED RN Residency Program) BLS certification from the American Heart Association before the start date. Interview with ED Leadership, ED Staff and Talent Acquisition Residency Details: Start Date: Sept 2025; contingent on passing NCLEX. Accredited with Distinction as a Practice Transition Program By the American Nurses Credentialing Center Salary Range USD $52.14 - USD $52.14 /Hr. This serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
