Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$57,750 - $129,800

The 2nd shift Registered Nurse (RN) will deliver direct patient care to employees for on-site emergencies, work-related injuries, assist with the required medical health surveillance examinations and episodic illnesses. The RN will work alongside a medical assistant (MA) and advanced practice provider (APP) at Lilly’s Indianapolis manufacturing site and support evening and night shift Lilly employees’ medical needs.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 230-11pm, Friday 130-10pm

Ways you'll contribute:Protect the wellbeing of employees through the provision of health surveillance examinations, wellness screenings, and episodic care.Evaluate, treat, and follow up on employee work-related injuries in collaboration with department nurse case manager.Assist in coordination of health and wellness examinations, seminars, screenings and other health related activities.Maintain a thorough understanding of Lilly’s policies and procedures.

Key Objectives: Provision of professional nursing careApply best standards, assess medical conditions and injuries on site to initiate nursing interventions.Provides follow-up care for all injuries and/or illnesses.Support and assist with annual preventive screenings and health surveillance examinations as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).Educate employees on health behaviors, self-care skills, and other treatment options appropriate to their individual needs.Collaborate with physicians, internal and external to Lilly, and other health care providers as needed.Provides appropriate physician referrals for personal illness and injuries with consideration given to the employee’s home address and culture.Appropriately uses the available local resources to provide the best care and referrals to the employee while assuring the company remains in compliance with all medical regulations.Responds to on-site emergencies and implements first aid care for job-related injuries and any non-work-related illnesses.Support first aid and safety programs.Keep abreast of potential industry-related occupational hazards and inform local health and safety of potential areas for loss.Develop awareness of company resources for referral as needed for crisis management and other scenarios.Provides research on communicable diseases and referrals to expert resources including local and state health department, infections disease specialists and other resources.Responsible for reporting infectious diseases to appropriate local and state agencies required by law.Support the Lilly Well-Being Coordinator or Local Ambassador to promote the company’s wellness programming and to serve as a resource for employees for wellness and lifestyle prevention and/or management of chronic diseases.Work in tandem with Lilly pharmacist to provide travel immunizations and flu shot clinics, as needed per site.Serves as a liaison to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), OSHA record keepers, and the department nurse case manager.Maintains medical records in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations.Provides administrative support for the department (e.g. medical supply ordering, equipment calibrations)

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school orAssociate in Nursing with 5+ years of nursing experience in occupational health or emergency care roleCurrent State of IN license as a registered professional nurse.Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
