**Department** : Nursing Float Pool - Med/Surg & IP Rehab **Daily Work Times:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Night Shift **Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours:** Option #1 12 hrs / Option #2 24 hrs **Position Summary:** McLaren Oakland is a 318-bed Trauma Level 2 hospital that provides primary and specialty healthcare services to the greater Pontiac and Oakland County, Michigan communities. Registered Nurses that work in the Float Pool will support a variety of units within the McLaren Oakland hospital and does require at least 2 years of inpatient bedside experience to be qualified. The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process.  Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.  Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.  Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient/family centered care. **Responsibilities:** 1. Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient. 2. Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs. 3. Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs. 4. Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions. 5. Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development. **Required:** + RN licensure + BCLS + ACLS for required for certain units. + Graduate of an approved school of Nursing + Two years' experience in department clinical specialty within a hospital setting - Medical Surgical / Inpatient Rehab **Preferred:** + BSN #LI-KH1
