Registered Nurse- Homecare- Intermittent Visits

Maxim Healthcare in Denver is hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work one-on-one with patients needing intermittent homecare visits. Most common type of cares needed include catheter care, wound care, diabetic management, and medication management. Visits range from 30 minutes- 1 hour in duration.

Responsibilities:Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as requiredInitiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs changeIncorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goalsIntervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisorAdministers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of interventionReviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicableSupports professional practice by observing the following: Nurse Practice ActStandards of Nursing PracticeStandards of Patient CareStandards of Accrediting Body (ACHC, Joint Commission, etc.)State and Local LawsPatient Bill of RightsMaxim Healthcare, Nursing, and Client’s PoliciesAdheres to Maxim policy and procedure and applicable protocolsAttends case conferences, team meetings, education in-services as requiredPerforms other duties as assigned
Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state of Colorado.Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.Current BLS certification.One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred, but not required. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
Salary:
