PURPOSE The Registered Nurse III, under general supervision, provides patient care, evaluations, and treatment. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the clinic, which includes inventory and requisition of medical supplies, medications, and equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES Functional Areas 1: Operations Percent Effort: 50% + Provides direct patient care, patient evaluations, and treatment in accordance with Professional Nursing Standards. + Provides preventative education programs to students, such as residence life programs and student organization programs. + Operates and maintains the clinic, which includes maintaining inventory and requisition of medical supplies, medications, and equipment. + Maintains and operates the autoclave for sterilization of instruments/supplies. + Maintains and monitors patient records, assesses health care needs, and provides patient education. Functional Areas 2: Support Percent Effort: 40% + Uses the health care team approach to provide triage of patients, physical assessments, and treatments, including the administration of medication and therapy as directed by the medical providers. + Work with providers to determine patient treatment plans and carry out those treatment plans and follow up. Functional Areas 3: Other Percent Effort: 10% + Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS + Associate degree in Nursing. + Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing + CPR Certified + 4 years of previous professional experience as a Registered Nurse. + Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of standard nursing procedures and techniques. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. + Ability to use and manage an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. SALARY $61,012 - $73,667.04 Annually Approx.
