The Med/Surg Float Pool consists of Registered Nurses that work throughout the hospital on six different medical/surgical units: Cardiac, Oncology/GYN, Ortho/Neuro, Medicine/Renal, General Surgery and ICU.
A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.
Pay Range: $33.00 -$47.86/hr based on experience

Education/Experience Requirements
Required:
Graduate of an accredited associate degree*A Graduate Nurse (GN) must complete NCLEX within 120 days of employment.
Must have 1 year of Medical/Surgical experiencePreferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree*Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
Required:
Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS)Preferred:
Certification in a specialty area.
