Registered Nurse – Outpatient Oncology Infusion Clinic

As the Registered Nurse working at City of Hope Long Beach Clinic, you will provide care to our medical oncology patients. Your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive nursing care to the patients while assisting them through their treatment journey offering emotional support and education. The nurses at City of Hope play a vital role in improving the quality of life for cancer patients by providing expert care, support, and education throughout their cancer journey. While fostering excellence in patient care and adherence to City of Hope's high-quality standards.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Assessing patients’ health statusDeveloping and implementing care plansAdministering chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring patents’ vital signs and symptomsProviding education and support to patients and their families and coordinating care and follow-up appointments. Help with managing side effects and complications from their cancer treatment. Involved in quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs specific to cancer care. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is highly preferred.0-3 years+ years of experience as a Registered NurseMust have a currently and valid California Registered Nurse license.Current BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationMust have a current and valid ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification. Two (2) years of experience in a physician’s office or hospital.One (1) year oncology and chemotherapy administrationCity of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
