Registered Nurse - PACU
RN - PACU Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $40.48 - $60.72 an hour - Per Diem, Days. Various hours and shifts a week. **Range includes per diem differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. Boulder Community health is seeking an RN who coordinates total nursing care for the peri-operative procedure patient. Benefits: •403(b)Retirement plan •Education assistance program •Staff Support Initiatives such as Sound Baths, Meditation, Massages, and Reiki •Free one-on-one retirement planning sessions •Employee Assistance Program offering 8 free, confidential counseling sessions for you and your family Qualifications •Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. •Basic Life Support (BLS) required by end of conditional period. •Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within conditional period. •Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire (eff. 6/30/2019) for all PACU RN’s required to participate in on-call rotation. Those RN’s with a secondary job code are not required to take on call shifts. •Member of professional organization encouraged. •Certification encouraged. Responsibilities •Provides safe, competent, effective nursing care in accordance with hospital, OCC/PACUs standards of care, policies and procedures. When applicable, employees must be able to adjust the essential functions they perform appropriately to the age of their patient/customer. •Demonstrates basic knowledge of care of the peri-operative/procedure patient. •Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition. Reports pertinent observations or changes to appropriate physicians and/or clinical lead and implements emergency procedures as necessary. •Demonstrates knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and treatment modalities. •Administers medications and performs treatments as ordered. •Maintains complete and accurate documentation. •Ability to assess, treat and/or care for patients with regard to age. PACU treats infant to geriatric. •Actively seeks the participation of members of the health care team and patient's family to ensure continuity of care. •Prepares specimens and lab forms for laboratory analysis.
