Position: RN - Clinic

Location: Gary, IN 

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Nurse Midwife: performs patient care services, assists providers with diagnostic procedures, patient procedures and performs laboratory tests in a medical office or clinic setting.  In addition, may be required to perform some front desk work, which may include telephone work, patient scheduling and ordering of supplies.                                                                                                                 

 

 Education/ Experience Requirements:

High School graduate or GED equivalent required Graduate of an accredited Nursing school required Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana required Minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience in order to acquire a thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, and develop skill in nursing techniques and the ability to adapt to techniques to individual patient needs Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care for all age groups and their family members Must maintain current CPR certification Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation Completes annual skill validation as well as safety and infection control procedures Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, family members, physicians, and other hospital associates
