Registered Nurse Program Manager Evidence Based Practice
**Job Description:** This role has enterprise-wide accountability to research and track evidence-based nursing practices and requires frequent communication with nursing leaders across the enterprise. Oversight and direction is provided by the Director Nursing Research and Evidence-based Practice. **Essential Functions** + Leads a culture of research and EBP across the enterprise. Provides oversight of individuals/groups engaging in nursing research and evidence-based practice activities to advance professional practice. + Spearheads the Nursing Research Fellowship program. + Acts as the executive sponsor for site based clinical practice councils or other professional governance councils as appropriate. + Leads mentoring and coaching for IRB submission, abstract writing, and the creation of posters, presentations, and publications. + Directs mentoring and coaching for IRB submission, abstract writing, and the creation of posters, presentations, and publications. + Provides direction for Nursing Professional Development teams to support and educate caregivers to further the goals of evidence-based practice at Intermountain. + Empowers continuous improvement of nursing practice utilizing Intermountain's operating model and Nursing structure. + Acts as a champion for implementation of evidence-based practice at Intermountain and as a consultant for questions and issues related to nursing practice standards. + Partners with the enterprise nursing professional development and practice excellence team to organize regional and enterprise nursing practice conferences, workshops, and/or meetings. + Collaborates with the Intermountain Healthcare Delivery Institute to promote Clinical Best Practice Implementation (cBPI). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified. + Active RN License in State of Practice is required. + Five years of clinical nursing experience including three years in one or more of the following areas: nursing professional development, nursing research, clinical management, education, project management, quality initiatives, or compliance is required. + Experience in a role requiring medical writing, education, team facilitation, team development, and project leadership and management is required. + Experience in a role requiring effective verbal and written communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of the organization is required. + Basic understanding implementation and/or translational science is required. Preferred Qualifications + Nursing certification (e.g., CNE, NPD, RN-BC). + Doctorate in nursing (DNP or PhD) **Physical Requirements:** Physical Requirements + Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. + Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. + Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. + For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles. **Location:** Key Bank Tower **Work City:** Salt Lake City **Work State:** Utah **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 8 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
