Job Overview:
Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursingMust have one (1) year dialysis experienceCompletion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical CenterSuccessful completion of all orientation programs

Preferred:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New JerseyBasic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

Per DiemDay shift1 - 7.5-hour shift per month2 - On-call shifts per month
