Job Description

Our team of dedicated Nurses is our Code team that responds to adult inpatient & outpatient emergencies outside of the ICU environment including;

Safe intra-hospital patient transportation of the critically ill adult population to diagnostic and procedural areas.Providing a continuity of care for patients during diagnostic imaging / procedures while outside of ICU environment.Providing emergent interventions to deteriorating patients in acute / intermediate care areas, as well as care to non-inpatients needing urgent / emergent care

Come elevate your skills and experience by working with a world-class, Magnet® designated Academic Medical Center! We are looking for candidates for a Registered Nurse (RN) - Rapid Response Team (RRT) position with our nursing team at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Downtown Campus.

The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is the flagship academic medical center at the heart of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and includes the 789-bed downtown Baltimore campus and the 177-bed midtown campus one mile north. Home to the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center and The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, we’re the highest-volume trauma center in the United States. 

A key component of our success comes from the skilled professionals of our Rapid Response Team / Code Response team.

QualificationsGraduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN requiredMeets licensing requirements to practice registered nursing in the State of Maryland2 years of ICU or Emergency Services experience is required.3-5 years of ICU or Emergency Services experience is highly preferred.Currency in the following certifications required:Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). (Preferred)
