Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Overview Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU at our M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital location in Woodbury, MN. Within our ICU, our Registered Nurses are responsible for caring for patients who have many different diagnoses including, but not limited to, sepsis, overdoses, withdrawals, and surgical patients who need a higher level of care. Our complex patients require continuous hemodynamic monitoring, intense medication management, ongoing critical thinking, and excellent communication with team members and families. This is a fast-paced and highly technical medical environment. Schedule: This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the Night shift. Apply today to join our 34,000+ employees and 5,000+ system providers working to build lasting relationships with the people we serve: our patients, our communities, and each other.  Responsibilities Job Description As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for: Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes; Developing an individualized nursing plan of care; Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care; Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes; Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes; Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate; Demonstrating the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes; Promoting a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
