Registered Nurse (RN)
Salary Range: $68,848.00 to $68,848.00 Annually Wage: $68,848.00/Annually Summary of Position Functions: Assists in administering the center’s Health and Wellness Services Plan Major Duties and Responsibilities: + Oversee scheduling of sick call, infirmary coverage, environmental health, as well as physical and dental exams in accordance with DOL guidelines. + Inspect the food service facility and dormitories regularly. + Develop and maintain an inventory control system for medication, equipment, and medical supplies. + Conduct inventories of supplies and medications monthly. + Purchase medication and medical supplies. + Participate in nurses’ on-call rotation. + Function as a staff nurse as needed. + Collect data and maintain wellness monthly Utilization Reports. + Plan, organize, and control the use of overtime and on-call staff to ensure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures. Skills and Competencies: + Proven ability to lead and support a team + Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and practices + Knowledge of current state and federal laws regulating health care and patient privacy (HIPPA) + Strong organizational skills and communication skills both verbal and written + Familiarity with medical needs of young adults + Meticulous documentation/recording skills and attention to detail with excellent time management skills + Ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment + Proficient using a computer software which includes Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.) Educational Requirements: + State Licensed Registered Nurse. + Three years’ experience as a practicing nurse; one of which was in a lead capacity. + Must possess a Valid NYS Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
