Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking experienced Behavioral Health RNs to join the Emergency team at Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. This is a full-time position (7pm-7am, with rotating weekends). Rotation through all shifts during orientation (Days, Mids, & Night shifts).
This position will work with patients seeking behavioral health treatment, including medical clearance, acute stabilization, and care pending inpatient placement.
There is an opportunity for interested nurses to learn and develop Emergency Nursing skills.

Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.Behavioral Health ER Nurse Requirements:
Experience: a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider certification through American Heart Association required Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others Proficient computer skills required.Behavioral Health ER Nurse Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer two years of acute care behavioral health experience.
