Staff are required to be able to support two of the three shifts + NO ‘Call’ obligation + Closed on weekends and holidays **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** Located in north Seattle, the **Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Northwest** provides a wide range of cardiac services, including early prevention, risk assessment and acute and chronic disease management.Our services include general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and advanced heart failure management. We emphasize imaging quality by ensuring our dedicated team of sonographers have time to perform a comprehensive examination — including the use of advanced techniques — on every patient. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:** + Conveniently located near public transportation + Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve + Opportunity to provide career growth **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Provide direct care to patients being admitted and recovered for procedures in the CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION, ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY and INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY Labs + IV start, pre-procedure assessment and preparation, post-procedure recovery, access site management, and pre-post patient/family teaching prior to discharge or transfer to the inpatient departments + Support cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms with Anesthesia and Cardiology providers **REQUIREMENTS:** + Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington + At least 2 years of cardiology (telemetry skills), prep-recovery or interventional radiology nursing experience + Telemetry skills required; Sheath care skills strongly desired - training provided during onboarding + BLS and ACLS certifications **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST:** UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
