Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Response Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Response Nurse to play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and responding to urgent clinical situations across the hospital. This leadership position requires someone who is calm under pressure, independent in decision-making, and excellent at communication and collaboration. You will be a key resource for clinical teams, working closely with the Administrative Director and building strong relationships with providers. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a natural leadership mentality, this is the role for you. 

Shift: 12 hour day shift and night shift 7-7:30

Schedule: full time and part time flexible self-scheduling

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary responder to MSET, Rapid Response, STEMI, inpatient Stroke Alerts, and Trauma Activations.  Collaborate with providers and escalate care as needed to ensure patient outcomes.  Assist with assessments, mentoring, and provide expert advice to clinical staff.  Respond to MEWS and high-risk patient calls, providing real-time critical support.  Round on high-risk patients and assist with sepsis screening and rapid response reassessments.  Facilitate clinical debriefs and closed-loop communication for continuity of care. 

Qualifications:

RN with advanced critical care or emergency care required.  Exceptional communication skills and ability to remain calm in emergency situations.  Strong critical thinking, quick prioritization, and independent decision-making abilities.  Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and lead without formal authority.

Requirements:

4+ years of critical care or emergency room RN experience preferred Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an associate degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association) required ACLS (American Heart Association) required NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC preferred or obtained prior to end of orientation
