The Emergency Department at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital provides 24/7, high-quality emergency medical services to the Oconomowoc community and surrounding areas. This 14-bed, Level III emergency department is staffed by a team of experienced physicians, nurses, and support staff dedicated to delivering prompt, compassionate care.

What You Will Do:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the emergency department at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital is a competent and compassionate healthcare professional who delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. Integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical experience, the RN employs a deliberate and systematic approach to care, guided by an awareness of patient responses in diverse situations.

This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients and families, demonstrating mastery of technical skills, and maintaining a patient and family-centered perspective. The RN also oversees and directs delegated nursing tasks, ensuring they align with the education and abilities of team members. Additionally, the RN supports clinical operations across areas or campuses as required by staffing needs.

As a member of the Emergency Department team, the RN plays a vital role in fostering collaboration, ensuring safety, and delivering professional nursing care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

What You Will Need:

Associate degree in nursing is required.  Preferred education level is a bachelor’s degree  Registered Nurse (RN),  Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or ability to obtain at time of hire Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ability to obtain during orientation
