Registered Nurse (RN) Freestanding ER

Inova Franconia-Springfield Healthplex, Emergency Room is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full-Time, Evening shift (11am – 11pm). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

This Free-Standing Emergency Unit services the local community:

24-hour lab testing and radiology including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio Emergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Ventilator trained nursing and EMT staff Board-certified emergency physicians  Supportive team environment Opportunity for advancement Stroke certified parent hospital Nurse autonomy

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities:

Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Emergency Room Nurse Requirements: 

Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Strongly prefer 1 year plus of ED RN experience. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. Certification: BLS from American Heart Association  CEN/ACLS certification desired Proficient in English.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others Proficient computer skills required.
