PIH Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Interventional Radiology 10HR to join our team at PIH Health Downey Hospital. This full-time, mid-career position is integral to our commitment to providing exceptional patient care in the Radiology Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care during interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Collaborating closely with Radiologists, ordering physicians, and staff nurses, the RN will play a pivotal role in patient care planning and execution. Key responsibilities include managing the universal protocol/time out process, mentoring Radiology Technologists in IV starts for contrast injections, and providing expert placement of PICC lines and midline catheters. The RN will also support the department by conducting patient assessments, managing IV lines, overseeing oxygen care, maintaining crash carts, and applying restraints when necessary. As a member of the PIH Health network, which serves millions across the Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley region, the successful candidate will contribute to a healthcare system renowned for patient care excellence and technological innovation.
