**Job Summary**
+ The Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg Unit is accountable for the safe, individualized, efficient, and effective management and delivery of nursing care for hospitalized inpatients and hospital-based outpatients.
**Education and/or Experience**
+ Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required.
+ Minimum of 1-2 years Med/Surg RN experience is required.
**Licensure/Certification/Registration**
+ Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required upon hire.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
+ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within one year of hire.
+ Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within one year of hire.
**Work Schedule**
+ Varied Shifts; PRN, as needed, casual requirements per department policy
