Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
+ Provides professional nursing care for patients.
+ The Same Day Surgery RN Provides professional nursing care for surgical patients, maintaining an aseptic environment. Provides professional care of same-day medical patients.
Education and/or Experience
+ Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree.
+ Basic Life Support is required within six months of employment.
+ Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
+ Additional requirements to be obtained within six months of employment per department are as follows:
+ Med/Surg – Advanced Life Support
+ Special Care Unit – Advanced Life Support
+ Emergency Room – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, TNCC
+ Resource Nurse – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, plus 1-2 years M/S nursing experience.
+ PALS education is required within one year of employment.
+ (Oncology Nurses Society Certification for Chemotherapy trained staff).
+ Previous experience in a health care setting.
+ Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
Licensure/Certification/Registration
+ Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the state of Iowa, or Multi-state licensure is required.
Work Schedule
+ Day/Evening shift; 72 hours every 2 weeks
+ Every 3rd weekend
+ Every other holiday
+ Occasional call time
+ 12-hour shifts
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
+ $29.50 - $44.25 per hour
