Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion – Lourdes Hospital
Job Summary:
The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:
Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient statusImplementing clinical nursing interventionsHaving a highly diverse medical skillsetDeveloping and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environmentEssential Functions:
Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatments and evaluates treatment effectivenessRestores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain the physiologic, psychologic and psychosocial stability of patients across the lifespanAdministers chemotherapy and other medication, starts IV's, transfuses blood and blood products and performs therapeutic phlebotomiesAnticipates and responds with confidence and adapts to rapidly changing patient conditionsAssists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peersOther duties as assignedEducation:
Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in NursingCertifications:
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support acceptable in lieu of BLS)ONS Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification (required within 6 months of hire)Experience:
One (1) year of medical/surgical or oncology experience (preferred, not required)Training:
