Join our team as an RN on the Pediatric Med/Surg unit at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital! Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, we deliver a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology (cancer care) services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation. The Pediatric Med/Surg unit (Unit 5) provides care to pediatric hematology/oncology, solid organ transplant, GI/GU, renal & metabolic and general medical surgical patients and their families. We have 24 beds on the unit. We work together with the entire interdisciplinary team (MDs, NPs, NSTs, OT/PT, Speech, SW, etc) to deliver quality care. Patient assignment varies based on acuity. Responsibilities Job Description Manages complex medication and infusion therapies Performs advanced monitoring using current technology Care for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit. Knowledge of medications and infusions Qualifications Required: 1 year Pediatric RN Experience BLS for healthcare providers MN RN licensure Preferred: Acute Care Inpatient RN experience Demonstrated nursing leadership and professional advancement including certification in a pediatric specialty area.
