Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics - Mullica Hill - PT - Nights

MAJOR FUNCTION: 

An RN on the Pediatric Unit must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. The nurse must have knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the emotional needs of the patient and family for the entire life span. The RN must use this knowledge to assess the physical and emotional needs of the patient/family and develop a plan of care which incorporates these principles. The RN must have the ability to implement the plan, to supervise others with the implementation and assess its effectiveness. The RN must be knowledgeable of the policy and procedures of the department and delegate appropriate procedures and supervise their implementation by others. The RN is responsible for the coordination of the patient’s care.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education & Experience: 

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current licensure in the State of New Jersey as required by law.  You must be enrolled within six months of hire or rehire in a CCNE or NLNAC accredited BSN or MSN program (or foreign equivalent) with a graduation date that falls on or before the employee’s third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement: Hired on or before June 1, 2013 - IMC Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW 2 years of Pediatric experience or equivalent preferred. 

Certification/Licensure:  

Current registration with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.  National certification required within 3 years of hire.  PALS required on hire or within the orientation process. Physical Requirements:
