Supplemental Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Position Summary
The Supplemental Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The RN acts as a patient advocate. The RN provides support, information and direct care and utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures. The Registered Nurse educates patients and families on significant self-care issues. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required.
Supplemental Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Position Requirements
Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a license in the state of permanent residency. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Experience dependent on area of specialty: Critical Care – 1 year of experience preferred Medical Surgical – 1 year of experience preferred Emergency Department – 1 year of experience preferred Mother/Baby, Labor/Deliver, Pediatrics – 1 year of experience preferredSupplemental Staff Registered Nurse (RN) Work Schedule
Level ONE STEM Nurse
A. Ninety Six (96) hours per 8-week unit schedule are the minimum requirement. Average 12 hours per week.
B. Twenty Four (24) weekend hours per 8-week period
C. Minimum of 1 (12) hour holiday OR 2 (12) hour hard to fill shifts from group 1 AND group 2 per year.
D. Orientation and education hours do not count towards the monthly requirement.
Level TWO STEM Nurse (Working both Facilities)
A. Ninety Six (96) hours per 8-week unit schedule are the minimum requirement. Average 12 hours per week.
B. Twenty Four (24) weekend hours per 8-week period
C. Minimum of 1 (12) hour holiday OR 2 (12) hour hard to fill shifts from group 1 AND group 2 per year.
