Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC)/Sedation RN performs nursing activities according to PICC policies/nursing care standards. Functions as a member of the PICC Team to provide professional nursing care-PICC services to patients needing PICC placement in all phases of pediatric patient care management. Provides care for patients and family based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients served. Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness. Collaborates with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licenses/Certifications: RN-Registered Nurse BLS - American Heart Association PALS (required within 6 months of hire/acceptance of job) Experience: 2 years of experience in nursing Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
