**Overview** **Select Specialty Hospital- Durham** **Critical Illness Recovery Hospital** **located inside of Duke Regional** **Registered Nurse (RN) -** **PRN/Per Diem** **Hours:** **12 Hour Shifts, Days** **7am - 7pm** **Pay: $50** **hourly** **_Competitive shift differentials for nights ($4/hr) and weekends ($6/hr)_** **Sign On Bonus: $5,000** At Select Medical’s Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals, you are taking care of the most vulnerable patients in your community. Here, you will care for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care. **Responsibilities** + Receiving admissions and/or transfers to the unit. + Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment. + Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems. + Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry. + Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately. + Competence in Rapid Response and code events. + Promoting continuous quality improvement. + Instructing and counseling patients/families. **Qualifications** **Minimum requirements:** + Valid State RN License is required. + BLS is required at hire. + ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. _(Agency RN must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire)._ **Preferred qualifications that will make you successful:** + Clinical experience is preferred. **Additional Data** _Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
