Our Critical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurses care for patients who are not serious enough to be in ICU, but not stable enough to go to a Med Surg Unit. You will work with patients involving Cardiac based care (HF, Arrythmias, STEMI/ NSTEMI, electrolyte imbalances, hypo/hyper-tension, post cardiac surgical interventions), plus a variety of other serious diagnoses i.e. strokes, cancer, renal failure, sepsis, OD, seizures, diabetes, etc. PCU is a great place if you’re looking for a challenge or for new Nurses with a long-term goal of working in ICU, SICU, ED, Cath Lab, Leadership, etc.

As a Registered Nurse in Critical Progressive Care (PCU) at Saint Joseph Health System you are responsible for implementing, directing, communicating, and documenting the nursing process in accordance with current established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
