Registered Nurse (RN) - Special Care Nursery- Mullica Hill - FT - Nights

MAJOR FUNCTION: 

As an RN on Special Care Nursery, must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to the appropriate age of the patient. To provide care to newborns. The RN must use their knowledge to assess the physical and emotional needs of the patient/family and develop a plan of care that incorporates these principals. The RN must have the ability to implement the plan, to supervise others with the implementation and assess its effectiveness.  To provide care to critically ill newborns and their families in a safe and nurturing environment and with consideration given to age and developmental level. The RN is responsible for the coordination of the patient’s care.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education & Experience: 

You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. *  BSN or MSN graduates preferred *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:  Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM At least 6 months nursing experience, preferably in maternal child health nursing. Must meet all requirements for basic RN job description and performs independently for all elements.  

Certification/ Licensure: 

Current RN licensure by the NJ State Board of Nursing.   BLS (American Heart Association) required. NRP required within 6 months of hire. National certification required within 3 years of hire. Physical Requirements:
