participate in their own care and recoveryJob SummaryThe RN Supervisor for the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is an experienced Registered Nurse and is responsible for supervising and monitoring the Nursing departments on an assigned shiftin accordance with nursing standards and practices as well as current Federal State and local standards guidelines and regulationsThis position ensures the appropriate delivery of direct and indirect patient care and creates a positive environment for the professional practice of nursingThis position provides leadership for Natchaug Hospital departments in the absence of the unit manager director or administrationKey ResponsibilitiesServes as the point person in collaboration with the CLC for admissions internal and external patient transfersActs as a facilitator and decision maker for placement of all admissions and interintra facility transfers Contributes to the efficient operation of the unit by establishing priorities eliminating impediments and resolving problems Ensures the voice of the patient is central and present in decision makingSeeks opportunities to model teamwork and collaboration both within and outside the departmentWork required with at least one year of experience as part of the required years in a psychiatric setting preferredProgressive leadership experienceCertified in Basic Life Support BLS provider credentialed form the American Heart Association AHA requiredCertified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS provider credentialed form the American Heart Association AHApreferredExcellent interpersonal skills
